Photo Friday (#3)
| December 2, 2011 | Posted by ameliaps under photography, photos |
This continues my photo Friday series: a set of posts capturing the minimal, magic, surreal, unusual, quotidian, zen moments in my life. See #1 here, and #2 here.
Have you read “Last child in the woods“? I read a few years ago. It inspired me…
I don’t want my children to suffer from “nature-deficit disorder” so we go to the woods whenever we can

trees are not inanimate

they are alive

we look up to them

and they remind us of the seasons passing by

After a lovely woods-filled
movie-going

and cozy week-end…

…I headed out of town for work this whole week, flying to Chicago

Looking from a small window into the infinite sky makes me smaller

and it’s even more clear that the city is a matrix

that we live in

Bathroom “art”:

A brief afternoon wintry walk

Now I am ready to fly back home. Tomorrow.
Have a good week-end everyone!

Lovely week in photos, Amelia!
Nicole: looking for small things while traveling has been a kind of meditation for me
This is pure poetry…so inspiring and beautifully presented. I loe it!
Joan: what a kind remark… thanks for seeing my intent
It’s almost like we had a chat on the phone, but with lovely photographs to illustrate what you’ve been up to.
Denise: you inspire me a lot… I like having this virtual conversation
Lovely photos for deep thoughts!!
Congrats!

Cristina
Ciao Cristina, bienvenida!
Once again I’ve enjoyed seeing things through your eyes and the ZEN LENS of your camera
You make the mundane magical. I guess we shall continue to “chop wood and carry water” till next time.
Donna: I can’t tell you enough how much your words encourage me. I feel so rewarded to have special readers like you that really take the time to read my posts and understand my intent so perceptively
Love your tree-hugging photos, and your “up” shots at the tree limbs….very nice.
Steve: Ha, glad you noticed them! i found them whimsical…
