Hello friends:
Happy Friday to all of you!
(The previous photo Fridays: #1 here, #2 here., #3 here and #4 here, #5 here, #6 here, #7 here, #8 here, #9 here, #10 here, #11 here)
We planted a bean and saw it sprout after 10 days: isn’t life amazing?

We found a Robin nest while pruning the azalea bushes. We left it alone… a few days later the eggs hatched!

Morning light in the kitchen

Sundown

We made strawberry rhubarb pie… oh, it was good

Fresh peas and spring onions (barely cooked, in confit with mint and olive oil)

Lemon posset (basically a simpler panna cotta: just cooked cream, sweetened) with berries

First apricots and home-made pizza

Simple morning pleasures

Outside everything is blooming and ripening

nel blu…dipinto di blu…

Urban (after all I live in a city)

5 o’clock

I like my summery white sunglasses

Spent time over at my friend’s Cheryl’s place… and her sweet cat, Zelda

A small art gallery with books (what a lovely place)

In the kitchen

Marinating swordfish (with vinegar, oil, mint red peppercorns) and fresh fruit salad (macedonia)

Tea with light (an afternoon ritual)

Summer fare: spaghetti frittata (with roasted tomatoes and shallots) and sliced tomatoes (with basil, salt and olive oil)

Antipasto and wine-lemon chicken (pollo al vino e limone)

Antiques (with city skyline)

Clown (at a fair)

Have a great long week-end everyone!

Those tiny blue eggs are precious. I love your sunglasses. And your swordfish looks like it was on its way to tasty. Good stuff, Amelia.
Denise: that nest was such a wonder-full surprise… my younger son found it: you should have seen the sparkle in his eyes!
Lovely. I always enjoy these montages. They just sing to me!
Joan: I am glad I make “music” for you!
Looks like you had another amazingly full week! Beautifully captured.
Nicole: i love capturing the small moments: together they fill my life
First apricots! GREG
I know! and today we had our first cherries: summer brings so many delicious surprises
What a great glimpse into your life. A breath of fresh air.
merci David!

Amelia, I love your style – these pictures are not just snaps, they look like angles and colors are really well thought. Love the blue egg shell (how beautiful!), rocking chair, 5 o’clock, and lipstick photo!
